Porsche has recently upgraded their lineup with the addition of the Cayman S Black Edition. This is a car with a limited production of 500 cars, costing 67,807 euros.
A 3.4 liter six-cylinder boxer engine is under the hood, with the power output increased by 10hp to 330hp at 7,400rpm, an additional 200rpm. The maximum torque remains unchanged at 370 Newton meters at 4,750rpm.
19 inch wheels are inserted on the vehicle with 235/35 ZR 19s on the front axle and 265/35 ZR 19s on the rear axle. Also, Bi-Xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights and LED daytime running lights have been added. To complete to the fanciness, the door entry guards are marked with the lettering “Black Edition” made of stainless steel; the glove compartment lid has a badge stating the limited edition status. Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is also integrated in the interior.
With the six-gear manual transmission gearbox, the Cayman can reach 60mph in 5.1 seconds, 5 with the optional Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) gearbox, and 4.8 seconds if the Launch Control is activated on the Sport Chrono package, available as an option. 279km/h with the manual transmission and 277km/h with the PDK are the car's top speeds.
