As you might have already heard, the BMW M3 GTS won last weekend`s LeMans 24-Hour Series race. Well, the previously revealed BMW M3 GTS, because of the win, is rumoured to have a new version; being called the GTS-R M3. The car would be a new limited edition Bimmer, that would be welcomed as a new member into the E92 M3 family.
The car will still resemble the M3, while the car will have new options. These include Y-shape design in five spokes for the wheels; and are much lighter than the competition wheels featured on the original GTS model. The car will also feature a front lip spoiler, and like the original version; a carbon fiber roof, a rear spoiler made of carbon fiber and lightweight glass. Weight reduction is a main goal, while the car has a a new bonnet and rear deck lid; that are lightweight.
Engine wise, the car will have a power upgraded V8 which will be coupled to a DCT transmission gearbox. The incoming M5’s KERS regenerative braking and boost function could also be used. While the car will finish up the M3 line-up, the design concept for this M3 is finished in Stealth Frozen matte black with wheels that are the same colour.
